First Day Hike, 10 a.m. Join Beacon Rock State Park staff for a 2-mile hike to break in the New Year, with state park day-use fees waved.

New Years Eve Skate Skate the New Year in with Family & Friends at the Mountain View Ice Arena 6:30 p.m.- 9:30 p.m. 

The Noon Year's Eve Party lets kids celebrate the new year early, with music, crafts and activities. The free activities will run 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Three Creeks Community Library, 800 N.E. Tenney Road, Vancouver. Call 360-906-4790 or visit
