While you’re at it, make sure to clean and depersonalize your home as well. Your family photos may be lovely, but buyers want to see your house as their future home. Therefore, you need to show them what it looks like as a clean slate.
2. Price your home right to begin with. Strategic pricing is the key to a successful sale. Setting your home at fair market value will attract serious buyers, and this could lead to a bidding war.

3. Market appropriately. There are more homes on the market this spring than is usually the case, so adequate marketing will be especially crucial. Whether you’re selling on your own or with the help of a real estate professional, you should develop a game plan before you even list. Sending out postcards, marketing on social media, and telling everyone you know that your home is on the market are good places to start.
