What is your game plan if our region suffers a large earthquake, flooding, or Mt. St. Helens blows her top in our direction? There is a free survival planning event coming to Portland on February 21, 2015. That's right - FREE!
The free event, Zombie Apocalypse Disaster Preparedness Game, is brought to us courtesy of The Go Game, a California-based team-building company The Go Game. The event was created out of the company seeing a need to educate the populous about the very real threat of natural disaster.
The event, taught by local volunteers, will aim to educate attendees about various survival techniques (from canning to starting fires with Fritos). There will be survival demonstrations, participants will also be tasked with location-based puzzles, receiving emergency supplies in return, running around Portland neighborhood (TBA) to complete the game within two hours - all while being chased by zombies.
At the end of the day, each person should expect to leave with a fully-stocked emergency preparedness kit, a few new survival skills and (hopefully) no zombie bites.
