Agency Is At No Cost To Buyers
Dear Future Home Buyers,
Many of my clients have asked me what my fees are for representing them in a transaction.
My answer: NOTHING! Your agent cost you absolutely no money! Zero. Zip. Zilch. Nada!
This is a common “elephant in the room” when buyers first meet with an agent. Here’s how it works:
1) A listing agent meets with a seller.
2) The seller chooses a marketing package and agrees to pay a certain percentage of the sale price to the agents.
3) The listing agent then lists the property with a set commission for themselves (to represent the seller) and a set commission for the agent that brings them a buyer.
This in no way means that your buyer’s agent is working for anyone else but you. The commissions are split and set no matter what. For a transaction to go well, it is in everybody’s best interest to have agents on both sides, looking after their clients needs and negotiating on their behalf.
Your buyer’s agent will find you a home that fits your needs, put together all the contracts, advise you through the entire process, schedule all appointment, negotiate for you and remove liability off of you as a buyer with their transaction and contract knowledge.
