Just south of 53rd Street in Downtown Vancouver, you’ll find the Lincoln Neighborhood. The neighborhood is primarily single-family homes, although apartments do reside in the area as well. Consisting of mostly homes, schools, churches and businesses, Lincoln attracts a variety of people to the area, most stay for the quiet but urban appeal and close proximity to schools and major freeways.
There are some commercial interests and office buildings in the Lincoln Neighborhood such as the Washington State Department of Transportation, and various medical and dental offices. Railroad tracks in the North East area of the neighborhood support light industrial uses. The Lincoln Neighborhood also includes Lincoln Elementary, Franklin Elementary, Discovery Middle School, Our Lady of Lourdes School, and Vancouver School of Arts and Academics.
In addition to being minutes from Hazel Dell and the PeaceHealth Hospital, residential amenities include the tennis courts, soccer fields, and playgrounds of Lincoln Elementary School and Discovery Middle School. Additionally, Lincoln’s Hidden Park and undeveloped area at the end of Washington Street provide another leisure spot for residents.
