The Burton Neighborhood is located approximately six miles East of Downtown Vancouver’s City Center. The neighborhood spans over 169 acres and is one of the only neighborhoods in Vancouver that does not use a grid-like block system. Part of the neighborhood was built on a ridge, creating a two-tiered neighborhood with views of Mount Saint Helens with a grove of conifer trees separating the levels.

The neighborhood was built specifically for residential use, with the majority of homes being built in the early 1970s and 1980s. The building of homes did however go into the 1990s as well.
