School Performance and Home Values

School performance and home values certainly go hand in hand.  Most people when searching for a new home prioritize the education offered in the community that they are looking to move into.    Improving public education affects more than the students attending, it also improves property values so it affects every home owner in the area.  Studies repeatedly show that the homes associated with higher quality schools command a much higher price premium.
School quality  and local property values are both enhanced by increased local funding more than federal or state monies.  This is why supporting the local levies are so important.
So way to go Vancouver, Camas, Ridgefield and La Center for supporting our students by passing the local levies recently. I am glad to see so many communities getting behind our kids.
We are so fortunate to have so many outstanding schools  in our area.  Check out how your potential schools performance is at www.greatschools.org/washington.
