New Year Beckons Change

Ever wonder why the New Year is such a catalyst for change? Somehow, just because the last set of numbers in the date tick up we all see it as a reason for change. Maybe it's the concept of a new year, the idea that whatever we did last year was last year's problem and with this fresh, bright and inviting new year everything will be different. Maybe it's because all of our excuses have been pointing to this calendar transition and now we've run out of real estate for our stacks and stacks of reasons to stay as we are, to keep doing what we have always done.

Whatever your reason for change, whatever explanation you have for choosing now as opposed to December 1st or June 1st (which was on a Monday by the way, making it even more of a turning point), take advantage of it! No matter your reason for making your resolutions now instead of at any other point in the year, USE IT. For some reason as humans we are inspired with the tangible passing of time. With the new year brings promise of change, promise of success, promise of a blank canvas, yours to mark up as you want! Whatever your reason, embrace it. Don't let the naysayers and the pessimists dictate when and why you make a change, if it matters to you it matters.

If you keep doing what you've always done, you're gonna get what you always got. Stop doing what you've always done if you don't like what you've always got. No matter why you are inspired to change, whether it be a new day, month or year; new job, home or hobby; heck, even same old everything but for some reason today, right now you feel inspired to change for the better, do it. You'll be happy you did.

Happy New Year
