Dreaming of Moving to the Country?

Dreaming of moving to the Clark County Countryside?Lots of people think they would like to move to the country.  After they find out everything that is involved, they might change their minds. I personally like living in the country, so I want to help you decide if making a such a move is right for you and your family.

When moving to the country, you may not have thought of having a well provide your water in the place of city water that just comes out of the tap.  Well water can taste better than city water—but sometimes it doesn’t. This is just one of the things you need to check if you leave the city for country life. In future articles, I will address wells, including taste, the well-flow test, contamination and other considerations.

Another issue is the septic tank. Maybe you’ve heard that grass grows greener over the septic tank.  Just what does that mean? Perhaps it would be a good idea to explore some of the common things that you should know about this alternative system. Septic tanks can work very well, but there are things to know about them.
What about water rights? Flood control? Permits for irrigation? The list goes on.

You need to be informed. My job as your realtor is to help you know what questions to ask, and then to help you find the answers.

If living in the country is your dream, call me at Front Door Realty. I am an experienced Real Estate Rural Property Specialist.  Let my expertise on these and other “country issues” make your transition from city to country living a smooth one.
